I work at my Family`s Sportstore in Schoenbuehl near Bern, the capital of Switzerland. 1943 my grandfather started a business of crafting skis and selling them in the family`s name (Burkhalter Skis)Early models didn't have edges and consisted just of wood except the bindings. Today`s skis and snowboards are made of many different materials and are not as easy to dispose like in the 50`s when you burned them in your stove, after a wicked crash.Almost every time I sell a snowboard I would get an old, small or broken board to dispose.

So what to do with them?
